Limits and Important Notes

How the Banker's Acceptance Commission Is Calculated

The calculator converts the percentage rate to a decimal, multiplies it by the principal, and prorates the annual amount for the entered term.

A 360-day financial year is used because that is the convention implemented by the current calculator. Confirm the applicable convention with the bank handling the transaction.

Formula

Commission = Principal × (Rate ÷ 100) × (Term ÷ 360)

Example

For a $100,000 acceptance with a 90-day term and a 1.5% annual commission rate: $100,000 × 0.015 × 90 ÷ 360 = $375.00.

  • The result is an estimate, not a binding bank quotation.
  • The formula uses a 360-day year; your bank may use a different day-count convention.
  • Minimum fees, service charges, taxes, and negotiated pricing are not included.
